Hello, and welcome to Froufrou Girl!
If you’re not at all familiar with the word ‘froufrou’ and random online dictionaries still left you confused, this post from Interstellar Adventures perfectly explains what I was going for when I decided on the name. Now that that’s out of the way…
I am Hanmae, 30 years old and I’ve been working online since 2008. My current job description is a virtual assistant (among other things) to some guy in the US. It’s not as shady as it sounds, trust me. I have an on-going love affair with a couple of things including my city. I wasn’t born and raised here as a young child but that will not diminish the fact that if in the future I may end up living in some other city, Cebu will always be my home for countless of reasons.
For the past 6 years I’ve been collecting classics or popular children and young adult books to add to my growing collection. My goal is to keep myself from buying brand new copies and just find treasures in secondhand bookstores. Not to say I would refuse if someone gifted me with a brand new book. I’m not that crazy yet. 😛
One of my life goals is to travel and visit some of the most beautiful and grandest libraries, the oldest and tiniest of book shops all over the world (mostly Europe). I plan to start making that happen hopefully by the time I turn 30.
The purpose of this blog is to finally stop being lazy and just write. I will post about books, thrift buys, places to eat in my city, pretty things, maybe a bit about any fandom I’m in and the gifs that go with it. I know how it can be annoying to scroll through 20 gifs in just one page so I will promise not to spam you. 🙂
I don’t think there’s anything else interesting about me but you’re free to ask by leaving a comment or by sending me an email. The contact page is also available for easy access.

I have a couple more ‘blogs’ that are currently up but they’re mostly micro blogs that I very rarely update. I also excluded a couple of (mostly early) blogs with really embarrassing names/url. Seriously, you don’t want to know.
